Farewell Address (Closing RPDT)

I’ve decided that the time has come for me to pull the plug on Roleplay Degrassi Today (RPDT) I am very proud of what this RP accomplished and I will always cherish the memories that I shared with each and everyone of you, especially those that have been with me for the entire ride.

First, I have to give all the thanks in the world to Nikki. If she hadn’t liked my idea of forming a RP together, none of this would’ve ever been possible. I’m glad that we were able to co-mod this RP together. Nikki I’ll always remember our Drew and Anya’s bestfriendship. By the way, Drew’s still waiting on Anya to say something. (Forget that his cell phone died in the lake while rescuing Katie after she drowned when he dumped her) In my mind, that cell phone is still attached to his ear and he’s waiting for her to say something.

Secondly, I have to thank Samantha. When I joined the RP whose name I cant even recall, she was the first person I role-played with. I’ll always cherish our ‘Drewcy’ and all of the fun that I shared role-playing with you Sam. She’s been with this RP since the very beginning and I’m glad she stayed until the very end.

Hailey, you’ve been with this RP since almost the very beginning. I enjoyed our Krew friendship and loved para’ing with you even though it seemed like the paras were always depressing yet Katie and Drew always had each others back.

Isabel and Hannah, you guys came into the RP when I had doubts that it’d last past November. You guys are awesome as Tori and Maya and I’m very thankful that I got to para with both of you and that you both are on BTB.

Mariah, I know you’re not on the RP anymore but I know you’ll read this. I loved Noah (AKA Baby Bee) I felt like she was real when we were writing together and I’m glad that the most important part of Drew came about because of you.

Rebecca, I know you’re also not on the RP anymore but I talked alot OOC with you. I figure you might come across this post as well. I’ll always remember our debates, history chats, and common love for Rise Against. If I remember correctly, you might’ve been this RP’s only resident Canadian =)

Taylor, I can never thank you enough for jumping in and filling in for Bianca when Mariah left the RP. You saved the most important part of Drew’s story and while I know our time here was short, I look forward to the continuation of our Krew on BTB. If it wasn’t for you, I honestly think I’d be done roleplaying with the end of this RP. I cant wait for you and I to wrap up Bianca, Drew, and Noah’s story on this RP.

For our Mia, thank you so much for coming to this RP and starting up a major story with Drew. I felt like at the time, Drew’s character development was a huge mess and I cant thank you enough for coming to this RP and when it’s all said and done, I’ll miss para’ing with you. We should talk soon about the conclusion to Drew, Noah, Mia, and Isabella’s story =)

I’d also like to thank Asher, Brittany, Jackie, and Dylan who helped get this RP kicking from the very beginning. You’re guys dedication from the very start helped jump start this RP from the very beginning.

For the rest, I’d like to thank you for contributing to this RP and riding it out until the very end. I know that I’ll still get to interact with Marisol on another RP which happens to be the first RP I ever joined. I like how our Drew and Marisol didn’t hate each other.

I’ll always remember back in September when we had like all of us involved in one common plot. My Drew went splashy splashy with Anya’s Nikki at the ravine after a night of drinking, confused Bianca for God, while Brittany’s Declan threw a party at the condo. It was cool that at the time our RP lacked so many people yet we all got involved on a kick ass plot.

Guys, I know I’ll always remember all of the nights we all chated late into the night on the Chatzys. It seemed like for two months or so, we had a Chatzy going all night long each night of the week. I seriously cant thank EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU enough. Even the ones who were on the RP for a short time, you each added and brought something to this RP. I know most of you are on the other RP I run (which unlike RPDT, I inherited. In a way, it choose me) If you’re not and would like to venture over, it’s BeTheBestDegrassiRP I’d like to see you guys come on over if you’d like. 

If I could ask one thing of you guys, please dont be mad at me for this. I know some of you wanted this RP to continue but I honestly cant dedicate all the time required to reboot this RP. I’m in college, it’s my senior year. I have so much stuff to do so I can graduate, I have a job. I hate that ending this RP will upset a few of you and I hope you’ll forgive me for it and know that I did the best I could for this RP.

Here is how it ends, the RP Main Page itself will stop accepting new people. You guys are still free to para with each other for as long as you may desire. I’m going to work on finishing up Drew’s story as I’ve invested so much into his character and can’t leave him and Noah without an conclusion. As much as I’d like to continue RPDT, I know it can never get back to where it once was. It was a great RP and created many awesome stories. Mainly, I’d like to see people wrap up their storylines in the next few weeks but like I said, feel free to continue to interact with the remaining characters for as long as you may desire. Again, thank you all for helping make RPDT what it was.
